Krista Hawthorne, a pyroprocess engineer in Argonne’s Chemical and Fuel Cycle Technologies division, is one of a number of researchers recently awarded funding. Hawthorne and researchers at Brigham Young University will work to develop a thin-layer electrochemical sensor for molten salt reactors and fuel cycle processes.
