Spanish transhumant herders

The continuity of trashumance (seasonal migration between ecological regions) depends partly on its related traditional ecological knowledge, which is linked to the maintenance of trashumance of foot. This practice is threatened by restrictions and impediments to mobility as well as legal disadvantages of long-distance mobility between different governing entities in Spain.
